Family Transitions Children & Teen Support Groups
Divorce can be a stressful, sad, and confusing time for children and teens. They often face fear, anger, and grief.
Seasons Mediation and Family Services is offering a safe non-judgmental groups for children ages 6 - 12 and adolescents ages 13 - 18. Our facilitators are Family Mediators, Registered Social Workers and Registered Clinical Counsellors.
Focus:
· Helping children/teens understand and be aware of their emotions.
· Decrease feelings of isolation and confusion.
· Giving children/teens the opportunity to share with others.
· To communicate effectively with parents.
· Learn skills on how to cope through the many changes.
· Decrease feelings of shame and personal responsibility, de-stigmatize reaching out and asking for help.
· Empowering children to gain a sense of inner confidence, courage and strength.
Cost: $38 per session for a total of 6 sessions, $228.00 (Incl. gst), handouts and booklets included.
Children Groups
November 8, 15, 22, 29 and December 6 & 13
6 pm to 7:30 pm
Adolescent Groups
November 9, 16, 23, 30 and December 7 & 14
7 pm to 8:30 pm
